County Sports Partnership

Birmingham Sports & Physical Activity Partnership

A County Sports Partnership is a partnership of agencies committed to providing a high quality single system for people to benefit from sport. County Sports Partnerships bring sport into the community.

The Birmingham Sport & Physical Activity Partnership is the new and developing sub regional multi agency group for the Birmingham area, who are coming together to drive up participation and performance in sport and physical activity.
Vision:  Helping to make Birmingham one of the most active and successful sporting cities in England.

Purpose: To develop and extend partnership working across all key sectors involved in sport and physical activity to enable more people to benefit from the huge amount of opportunities available across the city.

The partnership has huge opportunities and challenges to engage its large young multi cultural population in sport and physical activity and to ensure sport is a key feature in regeneration and renewal in the city.

The process of establishing the Birmingham Sport & Physical Activity Partnership is being led by an interim management group with members from the Local Authority, Health, Education and Voluntary bodies in sport.
