![]() Local SchemesThere are a range of opportunities to play hockey in Birmingham ranging from coaching centres, central venue leagues and junior clubs. Coaching centres organise training sessions offering young players the skills and advice necessary to play in the central venue leagues. The leagues take place over a six week period with the winners going through to represent their area in the annual hockey tournament. Once the league has finished players will then have the opportunity of joining local clubs to continue training and play regular matches. Many of the clubs in Birmingham have a thriving junior section that train and compete regularly on Sunday mornings, click here for more information.
